
About Me
Gage Saylor is a Ph.D. candidate at Oklahoma State University. He received his B.A. from the College of Charleston and graduated from McNeese State University with a Master's degree in Literature and an M.F.A. in fiction. He works as a Guest Editor at Craft and The Masters Review, an Editorial Assistant at Cimarron Review, a staff book reviewer at Gasher Journal, and a reader for Split/Lip Press.
His fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction have appeared in Passages North, Tampa Review, Sonora Review, Nimrod, Crab Creek Review, Iron Horse, Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere. He has won the Katherine Anne Porter Prize at Nimrod and is a previous semi-finalist for the Kurt Vonnegut Speculative Fiction Prize at North American Review; his work has also been nominated for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize. His short story collection, Where Were You When It Happened?, was recently named a finalist for the Iron Horse/TTU first book prize.
